Welcome to Vakeel Now. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Vakeel Now mobile application ("App") and the services provided through it ("Services"). The App is operated by Om Divyatej ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using Vakeel Now, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Vakeel Now is a platform that connects users seeking legal consultation ("Users") with verified lawyers ("Lawyers") in India. The App facilitates:
Vakeel Now acts solely as an intermediary platform. We facilitate the connection between Users and Lawyers but are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice directly.

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create and operate the account on your behalf.
To access the Services, you must create an account by providing your phone number, name, and other required information. Authentication is handled through Supabase.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts with false or misleading information.
IMPORTANT: Legal consultations provided through Vakeel Now are for informational and advisory purposes only. They are not a substitute for in-person legal representation, and no attorney-client relationship is established through the App unless explicitly agreed upon between you and the Lawyer.
Vakeel Now uses a prepaid wallet system. You must maintain sufficient wallet balance to book consultations. Wallet top-ups are processed securely through Dodo Payments.
Unused wallet balance may be withdrawn subject to applicable processing fees and verification. Withdrawal requests are processed within 7-10 business days.
All fees are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any additional taxes applicable in your jurisdiction.
All Lawyers on Vakeel Now undergo a verification process that includes:

Lawyers on the platform are independent professionals, not employees or agents of Vakeel Now. We are not liable for any advice, acts, or omissions of any Lawyer.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
The App, including its design, logos, text, graphics, software, and all other content, is the property of Om Divyatej and is protected by Indian intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our written permission.
You retain ownership of any content you submit through the App. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use, store, and process it solely for the purpose of providing the Services.
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the App may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you.
We recognise the sensitive nature of legal consultations. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your consultation details. However, please note:

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Om Divyatej and Vakeel Now from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to first contact us at ohmbrock42@gmail.com and attempt to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, as amended. The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator mutually agreed upon by both parties. The seat of arbitration shall be Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
For matters not subject to arbitration, the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App settings or by contacting us. Upon termination, any remaining wallet balance will be refunded after deducting any pending charges, subject to our withdrawal policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if:
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including confidentiality, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) shall continue in effect.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated through:
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you must stop using the App and delete your account.
The App integrates with third-party services including Google Meet, Supabase, and Dodo Payments. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of any third-party services.
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, power failures, internet outages, or failures of third-party services.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vakeel Now regarding the use of the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
